The short version

We do not sell your personal information. We do not ask you to create an account. We do not process payments — every purchase happens on Amazon's own site, under their terms and their privacy policy.

What we collect

Information you give us

If you email us, we receive whatever you put in that message — typically your name, your email address and the content of your question. We use it to reply to you and for nothing else.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, we use analytics to understand which pages are useful. This records things such as the pages visited, approximate location at city level, the type of device and browser, and how you arrived at the site. It is used in aggregate to improve the guides.

Cookies and similar technologies

Cookies are small files stored by your browser. We use them for two purposes: remembering your choice of light or dark theme, and analytics. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work, though it will forget your theme preference.

Links to Amazon on this site are affiliate links. When you follow one, Amazon may set a cookie that tells them the visit came from us, so that a commission can be attributed if you buy something. We do not receive your name, your address, your payment details or the contents of your cart — only aggregate reports of orders attributed to us.

We do not sell or rent personal information to anyone, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.

• Ask what personal information we hold about you.
• Ask us to correct or delete it.
• Opt out of analytics by using your browser's controls.
• Ask us not to sell or share your personal information — we already do not, and this policy is our commitment to keep it that way.

Children

This site is intended for adults shopping for household appliances. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
